About 60 protesters marched outside the meeting denouncing the group's stated goals as veiled racism. Four protesters were arrested, including two who were among a group that sneaked into the meeting and disrupted it with loud chants of "fascists go home."

All of the attendees were lily white, except for two people. One was a black dude who was working for Ron Bass, the guy who runs UPA. The other was DLJ - and he was asked to leave because he was taping the meeting! He managed to BS them into allowing him to stay, and he was able to get some good footage prior to them trying to give him trouble. The pics going along with this story come from that video, so some of them are a little fuzzy, but they are still good enough for folks to see what went down. Mad props have to go to Casa Freehold, who alerted everyone to what was happening in our backyard. The summer is getting hotter and hotter.
El Diario News - UPA MMP Recruitment event. Bridgewater, NJ: 50 people went to meeting of recruitment in New Jersey organized by the Project of Minuteman and United Patriots of America. As it were planned they met in Bridgewater Sports Arena where the mass of opponents who in front of them pronounced against the event organized by the citizens who are members of the group Citizens of New Jersey for the National defense. Since this [demo] was not allowed by polica of Bridgewater the striking power [of the police was used] to drive away the groups that plead for the undocumented immigrants.
Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest sent emergency response teams to the arena, at 1425 Frontier Road, to help Bridgewater police with crowd control. Inside the arena was a recruitment meeting for the New Jersey Citizens for Homeland Defense and the Minuteman Project. At 12:15 p.m., about 70 activists representing the International Committee Against Racism and the International Committee for Immigration Rights arrived at the arena to protest the meeting, which was being held by the United Patriots of America, according to the prosecutor's office.

This is what I wrote to a Mr. Felix Cueto in Bridgewater he is Peruvian and he made some comments to the HOY newspaper, which he says that "If I would've known what the meeting was about I would've joined the protestors who got arrested". He also said that he didn't know what the meeting was about but that "It seemed like it was a secret, because they didn't ask me to fix the room for them".
So I decided to write to Mr. Cueto and explain what we are all about, I wrote it in spanish but I will translate it in english.
