Today's Minuteman Meeting
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven't posted in awhile, but I did attend today's meeting in Babylon. When I got to the front of the hall, I saw some dude dressed like Billy Jack (remember that 70's movie?) having an argument with the leader of a small group of anarchists. The anarchist was screaming how anarchists don't believe in having borders! Other than that, the protesters were harmless.
I was very impressed with Chris Simcox. He's an intelligent level headed guy, and I think this movement is really going to take off even further in the next few months.
Those who cannot go to the Northern border in Oct., are requested to organize protest rallies in their hometowns. For more info: www.minutemanhq.com/rally/
I would like to read what others have to say about today's meeting. Thanks...

I AGREE. THIS WAS A VERY IMPRESSIVE MEETING. I THINK A GREAT DEAL OF CREDIT SHOULD GO TO THE AMERICAN LEGION POST #94 COMMANDER AND CREW FOR NOT YIELDING TO THE MISDIRECTED TO CLOSE THE MEETING DOWN. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE EASY THING TO DO. THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THE FOLKS AT THIS POST.
THANKS TO THEM THE MEETING WAS ABLE TO PROCEED THOUGH THE HALL WAS SPRAY WITH COMMUNIST SLOGANS BY THE DEMONSTRATING OUTSIDE. BUT MOST EGREGIOUSLY, A STONE MONUMENT TO OUR FALLEN TROOPS WAS VANDALIZED AND DESECRATED WHICH REALLY HURTS.
I THINK A GESTURE OF APPRECIATION IS IN ORDER.
BUT FOR NOW, MAY I SUGGEST THAT ANY UNAFFILIATED MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN LEGION WHO BELONGS TO POST #1 CHANGE YOUR AFFILIATION TO POST #94 IN BABYLON. EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ACTIVE, YOUR DUES AND CONTRIBUTIONS WILL GO TO POST #94.
THESE GUYS ARE GREAT AMERICANS IN EVERY MEANING OF THE PHRASE.

Those protesting the Minutemen acted like they were from a special ed nursery. They didn't have a point and they just wanted to call people names. However an act of vandalism occurred in the parking lot. The seat of someones car was painted with foul language.

Reply I too Attend And Was Very Impressed with Simcox
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He is a former school teacher who once lived in California. He deciced to return to the U.S. after watching that state turn into something that is not recognizable by American citizens!
He is a very level-headed plain spoken man who is truly dedicated to trying to get our borders closed. That is his mission only! He said after being down there and seeing the horror that illegal immigration is creating to folks on both side of the border, made him want to even fight harder to stop the flow. He said the President is a lame duck and he really believes he is so wrapped up in the war that he has no other focus. The congress must be voted out as they are not heeding the voices of the people. Some of them have no clue what is going on and other are just clawing and trying to hang on to their seats.
He absolutely focuses on non-violence in standing watch on the border. "Our sole object here is to observe and report to the border patrol. No matter what we are hearing, the border patrol appreciates our help and needs our help." He showed a video of the garbage that is strewn all along the border. (where are the phony environmentalist as it was disgusting) He also show graphic pictures of people who died of thirst in the brush, a group of folks with a young baby stranded by the coyotes and a woman who was beaten, raped and murdered lying in the dust. He said he helped save hundreds of people trying to cross who were starving and thristy. One group of women coming across with some men all of a sudden ran to him and almost knocked him over. They were with some coyotes or gang members who were raping them and they ran to him for help. Not only are these just Latin folks. He helped a group fo Polish, Swiss and other nationalities as well. There are certainly many criminals coming across amongst the rest.
Chris stated that closing the border and having an orderly immigration policiy is beneficial to us and to the poor folks being brutalized and murdered trying to get here. And that is the truth. Nobody can refute that. For now, he would just like to see the borders secured and then work something out after that.
The meeting was a great success and informative however it was spoiled by vandalism! The Post was very gracious and we thank them for having the courage and guts to have this meeting in the face of all this adversity. The Post in CI voted it down against the wishes of the Commander so he attended the meeting in Babylon. That was brave of him and we thanked him too. Someone's car seat was vandalized while they were at the meeting as they made the mistake of leaving their window open. So you see the violence is coming from the opposition. ELF is one who vandalized the building. The group makes no sense. They are supposed to be an enviromental group which should be supporting closing the borders but instead they have been infiltrated by communist agitators and they are too stupid to know what they are even protesting about. It is really shameful.
Only a select press was allowed to enter and the rest remained outside. Workplace Project was there with a rag-tag group of kids who looked like they were anywhere from 14 to 17 with black flags and shirts and all kinds of piercings on their bodies. They were led by Carlos Canales and Nadia Molina of Workplace and marched and chanted like a bunch of loons around the buiding. It was pretty pathetic. They use the dopey kids becasue if they get arrested it is no big deal. There was also a good police presence so things just moved along as usual and nobody got hurt. There were some protesters who were protesting the protesters also.
Anyone who is against closing the borders should think about the impact open borders is having on folks on both sides of the line. If you could see the bodies and faces of the folks who were left to die in the desert or the garbage that is strewn along the border you would not hesitate to call your elected officials and tell them that this has to stop.
Certain church groups, and other groups should take a good hard long look at the people being exploited and raped and killed because they are encouraging them to come here. These groups do not care about the people themselves but what there coming to the U.S. can do for them. It is disgraceful and they should not call themselves humanitarians but exploiters as they think of these folks as commodities!
So if you think about it, the protesters are protesting against saving their own people!

Minutemen event draws protests
BY RACHEL LEIFER AND DENISE M. BONILLA
STAFF WRITER September 10, 2005, 11:09 PM EDT
Brandishing signs with slogans reading "Deport Illegal Aliens" and "No Border, No Order, No Nation," about 30 demonstrators yesterday took to a Farmingville corner known as a hiring depot for day laborers to demand enforcement of immigration laws.
The group was led by the controversial Arizona-based Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, which held an event later in the day in Babylon seeking volunteers to patrol U.S. borders.............

Reply Farmingville Demo!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Signs that read "No Neighborhood is Expendable", Deport Illegal Aliens, etc. were prominent on the corner along with rows of American flags and a nice turnout by neighborhood residents. Chris Simcox was a prominent figure as well as former Senator Robert DiCarlo who stood with the protesters as he is running for Town Supervisor and has come out strongly to continue the work started by the Town of Brookhaven's Jim Tullo, Legis. Caracappa who has been working tirelessly for years on this, and CE Levy along with the town lawyers and inspectors to close down the filthy slumhouses and ticket the contractors who are working without the proper licenses..
I hope you give your support to DiCarlo on primary day this Tuesday. It is not about party affiliation but about who will work to clean up our town. Also present were prominent members of the United Patriots Group and Pete Linari who is crreating a Minuteman Chapter on L.I.
The police stood guard against the attempt by outsiders to come in to our town and create a situation but luckily nobody showed up and the press conference went smoothly.
What the paper never mentioned is the reaction of the motorists who were so pleased to see people representing their point of view. There were horns and yells of appreciation that could not be ignored by the press.

Reply Recruitment for the Norther Border Minutemen
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The meeting was held for recruitment and I think he did get a lot of recruits as the mission on the Northern border is mostly symbolic but it cannot be denied that there are lots of folks crossing there who may be dangerous. There are miles of open border to the north and only a few stations being manned. Most of the Northern states are joining the project with manpower. He did mention that he is getting co-operation by a group of Canadian Minutemen to work with him on their side of the border. Surprise! Surprise!
He also stated that President Bush thought this was a flash-in-the-pan movement and even sunk so low as to call them "vigilantes" but he now realizes that Chris is totally committed to forging ahead with this endeavor and he needs as many folks who care about the soveriegnty of this country to join in in one way or another. If you cannot donate your time, donate your money as this is a really honest cause and the only thing standing between us and Bush's open-border policy.
This next mission will start in October. As Chris suggested, and you must come armed with your lounge chair and binoculars and be self-contained. They are your most important tools. It may be a bit colder up there than on the Southern border but the job needs to be done and someone has to do it. You can come for as little or as long as you want providing you pass the background check.
I forgot to mention that also in attendance at yesterday's meeting was John Spencer who is endorsed by Chris Simcox. He will face Hillary Clinton and Jeanine Pirro who is liberal on immigration policy and Edward Cox whose law firm sued NYS to give driver's license to illegal aliens. You can go on his website:
I also forgot to mention that some of the people who were on the first border mission in Arizona were at the meeting who were wearing their hats proudly as they should for having the courage to go and face up to the coyotes and smugglers and drug dealers along the dangerous Southern Border. They said they cannot wait to go back again as it made them feel so good to be helping the border patrol and the people who are being exploited by this open-border policy. There is a background check that you must go through and if you qualify, your all set.

I would be interested in hearing from those Long Islanders who cannot make it to the northern border, but will be staging support rallies in the area. Will there be any from the Babylon area? Who will be coordinating these rallies? Where would they take place?

We shouldn't deprive the wealthy immigration enthusiasts the blessings of diversity. Send the mexicans to Llyod Neck. In fact, I highly recommend that the mexicans be sent to the Llyod Neck home of well known immigration enthusaist and multi-millionaire Rabbi Marc Gellman of Telecare fame and glory.
This very wealthy man is being deprived of the bennifits of diversity. It's just not right.

I think Pete is the one to contact about a demo. He is the co-ordinator on the Island for the Minutemen.. He said he is not going to the Northern border but can hardly wait to go down to the Southern border again.
I think Chris was saying that the rallies should be in our state capital, Albany! i do not know if it would be appropriate to have it at ground zero as the 9/11 folks may not like it. Perhaps Pete could contact them and if at all possible, that would be much closer for the L.I. folks and the Staten Island and Jersey folks.

NOT MANY OF THE 911 FOLKS SUPPORT THE ANTI-ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MOVEMENT. THEY ARE HEAVILY INTO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS. THE FSA GROUP - FOLKS WHO SEE THE NECESSITY OF CONTROLING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION - REPRESENT A VERY SMALL PORTION OF THE VICTIM FAMILY MEMBERS AND NOT THE FAMILIES IN GENERAL AND ARE WORKING IN THEIR GROUP AGAINST GREAT ODDS.
IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT, THESE VICTIM FAMILY MEMBERS COULD HEVE BEEN THE SPEARHEAD OF THE ANTI-ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND IMMIGRATION LAW ENFORCEMENT MOVEMENT ~ BUT IN FOUR YEARS TIME THEY NEVER BOTHERED TO GET INVOLVED ...... ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE HAD MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES.
MAYBE THESE FOLKS NEED A WAKE UP CALL.

I heard Chris mention Albany, but right after that I also heard him mention within our local communities as well. Perhaps if things begin to take off, people closer to Albany can stage a rally there, and the rest of us can rally somewhere on LI as an extension of that protest. The only question would be where to stage it.

I'm not aware of anyone using the same user name. I haven't posted on this message board for a long time until recently, so I guess it's possible. Could you please tell me which thread you were referring to? If it is true, I guess I should come up with a new name so as not to confuse anyone!
